"To address this problem, we developed a new analysis technique concentrating on different symptoms of migraine", says Professor Aarno Palotie (University of Helsinki, Finland, and the Sanger Institute, Cambridge, UK).
Later, researches did an international experiment on some people in Finland and Australia and discovered a gene locus on chromosome 10q23 showing that there was actually genetic linkage and within the study of replication. This showed significant evidences of linking to females who are the most susceptible to migraine.
A convincing demonstration was for the first time able to be explained by researches as they believe that the genomic locus is closely linked within two diverse populations. Researches say that this study has given hope to target early treatments for migraine patients and to discover the first gene variants.
In another similar research that was done in London focused on observing the hypothalamus region of patients. It is said that migraine is not only because of brain disorder but also because of a series of systems in the body that has gone wrong.
